Towards a CO2 emission standard for supersonic transport: A Mach 2 concept case study

Abstract. This paper reports the work performed in field of H2020 MORE&LESS Project to contribute shaping global environmental regulations for supersonic aviation. The existing CO2 emission standard, which is defined subsonic aircraft, analyzed. However, applicability this standard concepts needs be assessed. A case study a Mach 2 concept, based on Concorde configuration, considered explore modifications needed metric value calculation. results provide insights into aircraft and its comparison with limits.
